Effects of C02 Addition to Steam on Recovery of West Sak Crude Oil

Abstract

Summary A high-pressure ID laboratory displacement study evaluated the effects of adding CO2 to steam on the recovery of West Sak crude oil. Results of the laboratory experiments indicate that the simultaneous injection of CO2 and steam increases recovery, reduces injection temperatures, and reduces the heat input required.
