A subnormal Galpha(i2)-mediated signal transduction may be involved in the pathogenesis of cellular insulin resistance in hypertension. This novel Galpha(i2)-mediated signal transduction associated with insulin sensitivity in fibroblasts may help to control excessive angiotensin II signalling.
