Application of He's amplitude–frequency formulation to nonlinear oscillators with discontinuities

Abstract

An ancient Chinese mathematics method that is of extraordinary simplicity is used to solve nonlinear oscillators with discontinuities. He's frequency formulation is applied to obtain the amplitude–frequency relationship, and three examples are given to demonstrate the extremely simple solution procedure and the remarkable accuracy of the obtained solutions.
