Abstract

The single 110 K phase Bi-PbSrCaCuO superconductor is prepared by multi-grinding and sintering in air. The forming process of 110 K phase is discussed. The properties of the samples obtained by using different synthetic condition are studied. The results indicate that the grains of the high-Tc phase may grow on the surface of the grain of the low-Tc phase and that the forming rate of the high-Tc phase can be speeded by multi-grinding. The step of χ′ and the peak of χ″ about 100 K are observed in the multigrinding sample in terms of the ac complex susceptibility χ′-iχ″. The step and the peak may be caused by the weak-link.
