Summary A means of selecting cells on the basis of histocompatibility type within bovine lymphoblastoid cell lines (LCL's) infected with protozoan parasites of the genus Theileria is described. Using this technique it has been possible to demonstrate that T. parva may have a more restricted target cell population in the particular in vitro systems studied than T. annulata.
