The diamagnetic trans-planar complexes [Pd(C≡CR) 2 (Pet 3 ) 2 ] (R = 1,2-C 6 H 4 C≡CH, 1,4-C 6 H 4 C≡CH; et = C 2 H 5 ) are prepared according to the equation (1). The constitution and the structure of these compounds are demonstrated by their IR, 1 H and 31 P NMR spectra
