Abstract A novel 1,3-cycloaddition of intermediaries derived from N-(benzylidene)trimethylsilylmethylamine and acyl chlorides to conjugated olefins and acetylenes gave pyrrolidine and 2,5-dihydropyrrole derivatives, respectively.
