Abstract

Decision-making by examiners during oral examinations is a complex process involving initial impressions, hypothesis generation and hypothesis testing. Candidates' knowledge, attitudes and performance influence the final outcome of the examination. Interpersonal process recall is a useful tool for exploring professional communication.
