Deazapurine derivatives. VI: Synthesis of 1,2,5‐thia‐ and 1,2,5‐selena‐diazolopyridines

Abstract

Abstract 1,2,5‐Thiadiazolo[3,4‐ b ]‐ and 1,2,5‐thiadiazolo[3,4‐ c ]‐pyridines have been synthesized from the appropriate diaminopyridines and thionyl chloride. Ring closure of the diamines with selenious acid gave the corresponding selenadiazolopyridines.
