The nonlinearity parameter B/A was determined for several biological samples by using comparative, insert-substitution methods. The values of B/A for solutions of dextrose, sucrose, and polyethylene glycol were found to increase linearly with solution concentration and exhibit independency upon the solute molecular weight.
