Abstract

Dehydrogenation of seven dihydrooxazoles I (R1 = Ph, octyl, Me, Ph, 2-​naphthyl, CO2Me, hexyl; R2 = H, NO2; R3 = Me, Ph, (CH2)​2CO2Me) with γ-​MnO2 gave 97-​100​% oxazoles II.
