Simulation model simplification techniques

Abstract

Fifteen distinct simplification procedures for simulation models are presented with citations to their application. A guide to the application of those techniques indicates the order in which they are to be used in a given simplification exercise. Familiarity with these techniques can help practitioners produce simpler models during the initial construction effort.
