Lasing as a result of the 42Γ–12Γ, 22Γ transition in the Kr2F excimer was observed in the range 450±10 nm when optical pumping was provided by radiation from an open high-current discharge in a KrF2:N2 = 1:1000 mixture at a total pressure of p0 = 2 atm.
