Abstract

This pa per survey s supply cha in management (SCM) technology tre nds an d fo recasts using bibliometric analysis from 1989 to 2 009 wi th topic as “sup ply c hain management” i n SS CI database. T he bib liometric analytical tec hnique is used to ex amine t he to pic in SSCI jou rnals from 1989 to 2009, based on the scope of 2558 literatures of SCM. This paper implemented and classified SCM literatures using the seven categories for different distribution status in order to explore how SCM technology trends an d app lications have developed in thi s pe riod. Also, the paper wi ll pe rform K -S test to v erify the reli ability o f Lot ka’s L aw. The ana lysis prov ides a roadmap to guide future research and abstract the trend information so that SCM researchers can save some time since core knowledge will be con centrated in core categories. This im plies that the phenomenon breeds success is more common in higher quality publications.
