Hybrid nanomaterials consisting of multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNT) decorated with palladium nanoparticles are fabricated by the nanosecond laser irradiation of solid foil Pd target submerged in the suspension of MWCNTs in deionized water. The aim is to characterize the hydrogen storage property of laser-induced Pd-decorated MWCNTs for various laser doses. The corresponding structural surface properties as well as the yield of induced Pd nanoparticles on the MWCNTs are investigated by means of several characterization methods. The hydrogen storage measurement was carried out based on the cyclic voltammetric method and discharging curves. In general, the hydrogen storage capacity is enhanced with Pd decoration with respect to the pristine MWCNTs.
