Abstract

Summary— Ten children with vesicoureteric reflux who had moderate impairment of renal function before corrective surgery have been analysed retrospectively. A significant improvement in renal function occurred after successful anti‐reflux surgery. The possible reasons for this improvement are discussed with emphasis on the functional rather than the morphological effects of reflux.
