Abstract

Severe panuveitis and/or recurrent retinal detachment may develop in some cases of ocular toxoplasmosis, compromising the visual prognosis. Retinal detachment due to toxoplasmosis is generally complex, and long-acting tamponade with silicone oil should be contemplated for anatomic retinal reattachment.
