Coriacin and 4-Deoxycoriacin, Two New Mono-THF Acetogenins from the Roots Of<i>Annona coriacea</i>

Abstract

Abstract Two new mono-THF acetogenins, coriacin (1) and 4-deoxycoriacin (3), have been isolated from the MeOH extract of the roots of Annona coriacea Mart. (Annonaceae). The C17/18 double bond in 1 and 3 were oxidized and cyclized to give the known non-adjacent bis-THF compounds 2 and 4 in a one pot reaction, 4-Deoxygigantecin was also isolated from this plant.
