The Mechanism of Ipsilateral Ataxia in Lacunar Hemiparesis: SPECT Perfusion Imaging

Abstract

Our findings suggest that ataxia in hemiparetic patients with capsular infarct can be caused by ipsilateral red nucleus dysfunction secondary to cortico-rubral pathway disruption at the internal capsule.
