Lower-Body Warming Mimics the Normal Epidural-Induced Reduction in the Shivering Threshold

Abstract

Lower body warming mimics the normal epidural-induced reduction in the shivering threshold. Our results support a mechanism based on increased apparent lower body skin temperature during neuraxial anesthesia.
