The diffusion coefficients of atomic oxygen in O 2 , N 2 , Ar, and He, and of atomic nitrogen in N 2 , have been measured as a function of pressure and temperature, using a previously described method. The rigid sphere collision diameters of atomic oxygen and atomic nitrogen at 280 °K were calculated as 2.65 Å and 2.75 Å respectively. The temperature dependence of the diffusion coefficients of O in O 2 and N in N 2 yielded the following Lennard-Jones parameters:[Formula: see text]
