The impact of overweight on the development of diabetes after heart transplantation

Abstract

Overweight prior to HTX appears to negatively influence long-term survival after HTX, although this difference did not reach statistical significance. Pre-operative overweight is a significant and independent risk factor for the development of post-transplant diabetes.
