Nowhere Differentiable Boundaries in Differentiable Systems. A Proposed Explanation

Abstract

Chaotic forcing of a bistable system leads to a Weierstrass-function-like basin boundary. A generic three-dimensional diffeomorphism is presented. An explicit expression for the boundary is introduced for a limiting case.
