Abstract

The triterpene fractions of the dried roots of Potentilla tormentilla were investigated and three new compounds were isolated. The new structures were established by detailed nmr spectral studies as 3α,19α-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid-(28→1)-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester [1], 2α,3β-dihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid-(28→1)-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester [2], and 3β,19α-dihydroxyolean-12-en-28-oic acid-(28→1)-β-D-glucopyranosyl ester [3]
