Abstract

Capsule endoscopy detected the more clinically significant intestinal lesions. It was of diagnostic value in patients with obscure bleeding, suspected Crohn's disease and malabsorption, but the diagnostic yield in patients with chronic pain or irritable bowel syndrome-type symptoms was low.
