Abstract

A 2-year-old Haitian girl had a 1-cm cyst of the left upper lid. The cyst was excised and microscopic examination revealed a well preserved Cysticercus cellulosae. Although ocular and cutaneous cysticercosis are common, cysticereus in the lid has rarely been reported. It should be considered in the differential diagnosis of lid cysts in patients from areas whereTaenia soliumis prevalent.
