Toxic Shock Syndrome from an Infected Breast Prosthesis

Abstract

A case of toxic shock syndrome secondary lo an infected breast prosthesis is reported. Signs and symptoms, pathogenesis, and differential diagnosis are given. The authors review the literature and give recommendations for surveillance and prophylaxis.
