Abstract

Abstract Spin-trapping properties of a novel spin-trapping reagent, 5-(diphenylphosphinoyl)-5-methyl-4,5-dihydro-3H-pyrrole N-oxide (DPPMDPO), were investigated by ESR spectroscopy. DPPMDPO had larger rate constants than DMPO and DEPMPO. DPPMDPO should be better than DEPMPO as a spin-trapping reagent for superoxide detection.
