Abstract

The magnetostrictively coupled elastic resonance (MER) of a ferrite core is a useful tool for studying the magnetic response of a core and for magnetic-materials studies. The magnetic response of a linear ferrite and two square-loop ferrites are described in detail. The MER technique is applied to the study of an interesting composition in which the magnetostriction is a function of heat treatment.
