The frequency and temperature dependence of the complex dielectric constant of some tungsten bronze ferroelectrics have been measured. An analysis of the relationship between the dielectric relaxation frequency, Curie temperature and the ion distribution has been made in light of the rotational mode. The oxygen octahedron and the β-site ion have been proposed to be the essential factors governing the rotational mode.
