Pityriasis amiantacea: a clinical and histopathological investigation

Pityriasis amiantacea is a localized scaly disease of the scalp associated with temporary alopecia. The clinical findings from a group of 71 patients are described and biopsies from 18 of these showed eczematous changes to be the prominent feature.
