On oscillation of vapor bubbles

Abstract

A physical analysis of various mechanisms involved in the oscillation of a vapor bubble is presented. Approximate expressions for the second resonance frequency are obtained in agreement with the recent findings by Marston [J. Acoust. Soc. Am. 66, 1516–1521 (1979)].
