Abstract

Brominated phosphate, brominated polycarbonate oligomer, and brominated polystyrene were compared as flame retardants for glass-filled polybutylene terephthalate resin. Properties compared are flammability, im pact resistance, heat distortion temperature, tensile and flexural properties and processability. Also studied in detail are polymer compounding character istics and rheological properties.
