Abstract Ruthenium‐η‐arene complexes attached to the secondary face of β‐cyclodextrin catalyze the enantioselective reduction ( ee up to 98%) of aliphatic and aromatic ketones in aqueous medium in the presence of sodium formate (HCOONa).
