AbstractAbstractChemical, metallographic, and X-ray diffraction analyses and electrical resistivity and Vickers hardness measurements were used to determine the influence of vanadium (up to 0·23 wt-%) on the structure and kinetic transformations of copper-titanium alloys which take place during the process of high-temperature aging at 300°–600°C. It was found that vanadium retards the continuous precipitation of the intermediate phase β′ and accelerates the discontinuous precipitation of(α+β).
