Abstract

hioom MUSCLE tumors are common in the S uterus and by no means rare in the gastrointestinal tract, retroperitoneum, and superficial soft tissues. However, they have seldom been recorded as arising from large blood vessels. ,4be11,2 reporting 2 cases of leiomyosarcoma of the inferior vena cava, could cull only 6 tumors of smooth muscle, benign and malignant, that arose from the wall of the inferior rena cava.
