Bruxism and Hypertrophy of the Masseter Muscle

Abstract

Three cases with swellings at the angulus mandibulae have been examined. From clinical, roentgenological, electromyographical, and microscopical findings it was shown that the swellings arose from masseter hypertrophy caused by hyperfunction in connection with bruxism.
