An approximate analytical model of flow in the first barrel of an overexpanded jet

Abstract

A simple analytical model of flow in the first barrel of a plane overexpanded jet is proposed. The adequacy of the model is confirmed by comparison with the results of numerical calculations. The proposed model is used to solve the problem of determining the Mach disk height in a jet.
