Abstract

In the decade since the first magnetic resonance examinations were performed in children, the role of this exciting imaging modality in the pediatric radiologist's practice has constantly beenreviewed and upgraded. Shorter scan times, surface coils, and optimized pulse sequences have all contributed to an explosive growth in the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) in pediatrics. It is, therefore, timely to find a single-volume, multiauthor book devoted exclusively to pediatric MRI.
