Abstract

Four cases are described of hereditary spastic ataxia associated with congenital miosis. It is thought that the latter is due to absence of the dilator pupillae muscle. The familial spino- cerebellar degenerations are associated with a wide variety of other ocular abnormalities, and these are discussed.
