Abstract

Synopsis Grain sorghum hybrids grown in 20‐inch row spacings produced significantly more grain and forage than hybrids grown in 40‐inch row spacings in 2 out of 3 years over all irrigation levels. In the third year 20‐inch rows gave an increase over the 40‐inch rows only when irrigated after available soil moisture had dropped to 10% in the top 2 feet of soil.
