Optical response of a nonlinear absorbing dielectric film

Abstract

The transmittance, the absorptance, and the phase shift on transmission and on ref lection of a nonlinear, absorbing dielectric film are studied numerically for various model nonlinearities. The solution of the coupled nonlinear differential equations is straightforward.
