Abstract

Monte Carlo methods have been used to study dipolar hard spheres over wide ranges of density and temperature. The results are compared with the Padé version of thermodynamic perturbation theory and with QHNC theory. The data allow one to locate the gas-liquid co-existence curve. Its shape and the critical density are very different from those predicted by the Padé and MSA approaches.
