Abstract Numerov integration of the one-dimensional Schroedinger equation has been used to obtain wave functions and Franck-Condon factors for states and transitions in molecular nitrogen based on a model comprising an RKR potential function generated directly from the measured data. The band systems considered are A 3 ,- X + B 311g H X + B' H X + a' H X + a 111g H X + w `A H X + and C ll H X 1 of N'4-N14 and a 111g H X ` + of . Tables of Franck-Condon factors and band origins are presented for these systems.
