The twinkling of an I: In a new atom-economical and environmentally friendly organocatalytic method for intramolecular CH amination, the CN bond forms at ambient temperature by abstraction of two atoms of hydrogen; only acetic acid and water are formed as by-products. The method has also been extended to the unprecedented metal-free cross-amination of nonactivated arenes. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as "Supporting Information".
