I have attempted to analyze 1100 glucose tolerance estimations from the routine examinations at the Clinic during the past eight years. In order to get the information which this study offers into a brief concrete form so that one may have a general survey of the entire field, I have naturally had to sacrifice many interesting details and to group the individual curves into the series of twenty-three subdivisions which are given in Table I. In this study I have devoted much time to the clinical investigation and interpretation of glycosuria, and therefore have studied this part of the general problem from the angles listed in Table I under the first five divisions. All the glucose tolerance curves were classified in the first place according to the patient’s affections as given in Table I in the first column.
