Process for Total Degradation of Organic Wastes by Mediated Electrooxidation

Abstract

Hazardous chemical wastes, e.g. higher chlorinated organics, and similarly, obsolete pesticides especially in developing countries, cause problems of disposal. Conventional disposal processes have proved to be not suitable or still have drawbacks. In this contribution, a semitechnical plant for indirect (mediated) electrochemical oxidation is presented.
