Septic Complications and Prognosis After Surgery for Rectal Cancer

Abstract

Patients with a perineal infection after an abdominoperineal resection have an increased incidence of local recurrence. However, there was no association between abdominal sepsis and prognosis after surgery for rectal cancer.
