Abstract

Dibenzyl dicarbonate and 1-benzyloxycarbonyl-benzotriazole are proposed as efficient new acyl donors for the introduction of the benzyloxycarbonyl group into amines for the reversible protection of amino functions particularly in peptide synthesis.
