Coordination Complexes of Drugs - Preparation and Characterisation of Metal Complexes of Amodiaquine - An Antimalarial Drug

Abstract

Abstract Coordination compounds of VO(II), Cr(III), Mn(II), Fe(III), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II), Hg(II), Ag(I), Au(III), Rh(III), Pd(II), Pt(II) and Sn(II) with amodiaquine-4-(7-chloro-4-quinolyl)amino-2-diethylamino-methylphenol-have been synthesized and characterized. Their magnetic moments, infrared and electronic spectra and thermal behaviour have been studied to establish their structure.
